MANZI MANZI REBELLION

The girl child (manzi) is currently forming a resistance which I call the manzi manzi rebellion (coined from the african historical maji maji rebellion). Boy child is known to struggle in life in an aim to achieve a life of honey and milk; if not to win the hearts of the ever slaying queens. On the other hand, ladies are portrayed to get everything all easy; that includes sex, attention, money and material possessions. Men`s tender hearts get splashed with acidic words, “cheza mbali brathe,” meaning stay away boy, whenever they attempt to confidently approach women for a romantic relationship. In Medical Microbiology, I would scientifically relate the nowadays relationships between men and women to be that of antimicrobial resistance; where bacteria become resistant to antibiotics.

In a kidney shaped jaccuzi located in an exotic hotel at Karen, Kenya; my tender body and soul was nourished as my retina was glued to a lady whose beauty was more than that of sea goddesses. She had an alluring creamy complexion and her legs were the real replicas of Vera Sidika; if not Corazon Kwamboka. Her features seemed to have been carefully chiseled out of marble by an extremely talented artistic sculptor. I swiftly got out of the bubbling jaccuzi and with much confidence, I approached her and said, “Hello,” and with a smile that exposed her set of white egg-shell teeth she replied, “Hello.” Wow! to me her reply was like a magical echo.

My lively one on one interaction with the beauty queen whose name was Hellen; revealed to me a lot about how the manzi manzi rebellion oppresses and discriminates the boy child fraternity. Enjoying the fruity lime cordial with Hellen, it was vivid to us that the girl child was against the boy child in the following ways:

She pressures the boy child to pay the bills:

She will never ever remove any coins from her purse to pay for a bill. She is there to milk you dry. Even if she has thousands and thousands of money in her savings bank accounts, she will never attempt to pay.

She loves men with high status:

Her relationship history is laden with men who had big pockets. I guess big bespectacled doctors if not pilots with fancy watches.

She asks for expensive gifts:

She never appreciates the little things you do for her. She wants bungalows, serene environs, petrol-guzzling cars and finger-licking delicacies.

She has no long term achievements:

We all know that you will reap what you sow and that hard work pays. She will never rise from her comfort zone; she enjoys staying in the wishful thinking bubble, building castles in the air; probably imagining how she will become the earthly queen without working for it

The boy child is her step to advancement:

The girl child comrades have this slogan deeply engraved in their heads, “My money is mine alone but his money is for us all.” She doesn`t want you to have your cash and hers combined to do great things, instead she wants to be above you financially.

Her friends have the same character:

As the saying goes, “Show me your friends and I will show you who you are,” Truly, birds of the same feather flock together. No addition no subtraction, all is self explanatory.
