“Let`s get between the sheets and take advantage of each other”, we live in a much coveted world of fertility and productivity. ‘Religious maniacs’ would greatly support me in my above sexually intonated statement. However, life ain`t all rainbow and sunshine, everything comes at a price that must be paid no matter what. Lots of jumping on each other making some funny sounds usually yields babies. The sad reality is that kids are liabilities if not responsibilities to the involved mates; that is where masturbation is born.

Masturbation is simply the sexual stimulation of one`s own genitals for sexual arousal or pleasure, usually aiming at the peak of an orgasm. The sexual stimulation may involve hands (common), fingers and sex toys. Manual stimulation of a partner such as fingering, a hand job or mutual masturbation is a common sexual act that can be substituted for penetration. Sex experts have found that humans of all ages and sexes often masturbate.
In our western world, masturbation in private with or without a partner is considered normal and a healthy part of sexual enjoyment. According to my research work, masturbation is very normal and there is nothing harmful in masturbating; unless it becomes compulsive (controlling all your life). If it becomes compulsive, there are ways to stop which include:
Avoiding pornography
To stop masturbation, pornographic movies, images, videos and websites should be avoided. Exposure to porn content may trigger masturbation. Filters in electronic gadgets (computers, tablets and phones) can be used in order to block porn content
Staying active
One should find ways to occupy their time, such that it does not trigger the desire to masturbate. Finding outlets of energy release e.g. taking up a new hobby, learning a musical instrument or trying a new sport. It is very wise to determine when the urge to masturbate is highest and plan other activities for that time.
Seeking professional help
When masturbation has got out of hand, it may be wise to seek advice from a mental health professional in human sexuality. In often cases the problem is obsessive-compulsive disorder.
